Steve Walz

Founder, AMC

Steve Walz is the founder of Athletic Medicine Consulting, providing a wide variety of services to the sports medicine field from his base in Tampa Bay, Florida. Steve has a wealth of experience in this arena, having served on the Executive Board of the Athletic Trainers Association of Florida, President and co-founder of the Big East Sports Medicine Society, President of the American Athletic Conference Sports Medicine Society, and is currently the coordinator of the annual AAC Sports Medicine Symposium since 2012.

Steve has been recognised with a number of accolades over the years, he was named Athletic Trainer of the Year for the state of Florida in 2006, and has been named USF Outstanding Employee in 2004, 2013, and 2020. Most recently, Steve was inducted into the Athletic Trainers Association of Florida Hall of Fame in 2022.

The depth of knowledge that Steve possesses, along with his passion for sports medicine allows AMC to offer a wide range of services across several areas of sports medicine, including:
